The Canal homes at Svencelė perfectly revolve around an active modern lifestyle. The apartments are reached via shared outdoor walkways, which also function as places where residents can meet their neighbours, leave their surfboards and hang theirs wetsuits out to dry. These access ways become the colourful personalised spaces that break an otherwise clean building facade. They also break social barriers, allowing equal access for everyone to the canals on which the homes are built. The apartments themselves are a mix of functional single level studio and one bedroom layouts, as well as two bedroom apartments over two levels. Each apartment also has its own private terrace or balcony, a place to unwind and watch the sun set over the canals after a long day out in the waves. Nearby the Canal houses Svencele Marina is planned.
