The interior of Uptown Park business center’s common areas, courtyard and segments of surrounding Švitrigailos and Naugarduko streets have been designed continuing the idea of overflowing spaces, developed by the building architects, studio AKG. Following this idea, we proposed the connection of all parts of the project so that the green street solutions seem to blend into the first floor of the building and the life of the city street would not be left behind.
The main purpose was to get as much light into the building as possible and to create a visual connection of the street and the inner courtyard through the interior space.
Located on the ground floor, a large lobby with high ceilings offers many functions and is somewhat reminiscent of the library style. Natural materials were chosen for the interior - wood, concrete, metal. The lobby leads to two bright and spacious staircases. The interior details and furniture are inspired by Naujamiestis- innovative solutions, modern materials, modernity, the style of "old" cozy houses- everything, that will make visitors, coming to the office building, feel comfortable and want to stay here.
In the inner yard of the building, we offered a cozy wooden terrace surrounding the perimeter of the building, which in the future will be enlivened by cafe tables with various plants in pots, and a green lawn in the center where you can sit for a picnic. Also, in the surrounding segments of Naugarduko and Švitrigailos streets, terraces with heaters have been designed, facing the streets with benches and greenery, so that people can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee while watching the city in a hurry.
